Interested in starting a business in the textile/apparel industry? Hear Victor Lytvinenko, co-founder of Raleigh Denim along with Sarah Yarborough, discuss his start-up founded in Raleigh, NC in 2007. The husband + wife team learned the history and techniques of traditional American jeans-making through a series of informal apprenticeships with former factory workers, patternmakers and mechanics throughout the state. The couple built a small workshop in downtown Raleigh where they and their team continue to produce jeans which marry old-school methods with modern fits. Raleigh Workshop recently expanded into mens + womens collections, all produced in the United States and focused on design, process, material, + craft.
