Q. Who is eligible for your workshops?
Only individuals who work for companies that import cotton and cotton products into the United States are eligible to attend workshops. Showing up as not eligible? Please check your Company Name in your profile. Please be sure you are using the full and official company name, with no abbreviations, no excess punctuation, and all parts of the name included (such as if your company has a ‘The’ at the beginning of the name). This will ensure our system is ‘seeing’ you properly. Your account email also must be a business email, not a personal email. If you are still showing as ineligible, please contact us.
Q. What types of workshops do you offer?
We offer both in-person and virtual workshops.
In-person workshops provide the opportunity to hear directly from our industry experts who offer hands-on learning, physical samples, real-world applications and take-home course materials. Workshop programs held at our Cary, North Carolina World Headquarters have access to our state-of-the-art laboratories which represent the entire cotton supply chain, from fiber processing to fabric production and finishing. Participants will have the opportunity to tour and participate in cotton textile manufacturing processes they may not otherwise have access to.
Our virtual programs offer a more flexible learning opportunity for those with limited time or availability to travel. These workshops are shorter in length and focus on a more concentrated topic. Virtual workshops offer the ability to engage with our industry experts through Q&A and provide relevant resources for post-class learnings. Our virtual workshops are held on Zoom and you must be logged into a Zoom account to join. We are not able to share the slides or a recording of the presentations, so we encourage you to take notes.
Q. What are your workshop levels?
Our workshops are designed to build upon each other to guide you through your career. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned pro, or somewhere in between, we offer four levels to help you get exactly what you need.
Level 1 is our Foundational level, a perfect start for beginners or those looking to refresh core concepts. After completing a Foundational workshop, you will gain a solid understanding of the topic and learn key terms and concepts.
Level 2 is our Practical level, focused on applying knowledge in real-world ways. In a Practical workshop we will review basic processes before diving into deeper connections.
Level 3 is our Analytical level, designed for professionals ready to problem-solve and connect concepts. In an Analytical workshop we will analyze and problem solve and learn to identify how a product was made without additional information.
Level 4 is our Integral workshop level, for advanced experts aiming to master cotton’s integrated processes. In an Integral workshop, you will learn multiple ways to achieve a similar goal and how to make choices keeping cost, time, or process availability in mind.
Q: Do you issue certificates or badges?
We understand the value our program can bring to your career, and we’re excited to announce a new benefit so our participants can share that value with others. Upon completing a workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to earn a verified digital badge. This badge can be shared on your resume or social media, showcasing your commitment to professional growth and the skills you’ve gained along the way.
