About the Speakers

Mary Ankeny
Vice President, Product Development and Implementation

Mary Ankeny serves as Vice President of Product Development and Implementation at Cotton Incorporated, overseeing all lab operations as well as the Textile Chemistry Research Department, where the focus is on sustainable wet processing technology for cotton from preparation through finishing. Mary has held various research positions within Cotton Incorporated since joining the company in 1995. Prior to working at Cotton Incorporated, Mary was employed with Amoco Fabrics and Fibers as a research engineer in the Nonwovens Group, and before that, with Milliken & Company as a weaving engineer. Mary holds an M.S. in Textile Technology from the Institute of Textile Technology and a B.S. in Textile Engineering from Philadelphia University. Mary has been an active member of AATCC since 1995 and is currently secretary of RA80, Printing Technology, a member of the Olney Medal Award Committee, and a member of the Review Board for the AATCC Student Research Scholarships.

Katelyn Lee
Textile Chemist

Katelyn Lee works in textile chemistry research at Cotton Incorporated and has been with the company since 2007. She previously managed day-to-day operations in the digital printing and garment wet processing laboratories for five years while her present role as a textile chemist focuses on conducting applied research projects to improve performance in enzymatic processing, dyeing, and garment finishing. Katelyn also currently serves as the committee chair for RA80-Printing Technology in the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC). Katelyn graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Polymer and Color Chemistry.

Marcy Gang is an executive account manager with the Global Supply Chain Marketing division of Cotton Incorporated where she is responsible for marketing and technical support programs with major retailers, brands, and manufacturers. Marcy holds a B.S. in Textile Design from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an M.B.A. from Benedictine University.
